We don’t ‘other’ disabled people, we integrate them. You should use Patchwork Hub to help change the conversation around work and accessibility. We are not just a job-search website, we are a disability-led social enterprise. That means that we are trying to make accessibility changes authentic. We are not just about ticking boxes. We are about real change.

What if I need more support?

A.

Our disabled team knows through lived experience how difficult it is when your personal circumstances stop you from securing a job. Providing support is really important to us. 

That’s why we’ve created Patchworktogether. We are partnering with like-minded organisations and charities to create the Patchworktogether network. It is our one-stop shop of support and opportunities for the community. You can find out more and join Patchworktogether today.

Can Patchwork Hub find a job for me? / What if I can’t find a job that will fit me?

We are always adding new jobs to the platform. You can also set up job alerts! This notifies you when a suitable job is posted. Find out how to set up job alerts in our support centre. We also feature and promote engaged Patchworkers, to showcase your skills and values to our employers.

I have a disability, do I need to disclose this?

A.

You do not need to disclose your disability or health condition, it is completely up to you. As a disabled team, we know how difficult this decision can be. Our platform is designed so you feel comfortable disclosing your disability or any adjustments you might need. This allows employers to better support you and helps to remove barriers in the recruitment process. 

At Patchwork Hub, we are working to reform the recruitment space to make it more accessible and to integrate disabled people and people with long-term health conditions into our 'new' model of work. We want you to find work that meets your needs. We always seek to work with inclusive employers who are committed to accessibility. So you should feel able to share your disability but on your own terms. If you have any concerns you can contact us. We are a small but dedicated team here to support you.

What if I have additional access needs and need adjustments?

We encourage you to be open and comfortable in sharing your needs. This helps to remove barriers in the recruitment process. If you have any concerns you can get in touch. Our team is here to help support you and work through any questions you might have.

What if I can’t find any job opportunities in my country?

A.

We are growing quickly. Our pool of employers is increasing globally as our numbers of Patchworkers also rise. So, please sign up and share with your networks, it makes a real difference! You can easily set up job alerts to be notified. There may also be remote jobs that you are eligible for. Simply filter your job search to ‘remote’ to find them.

What if I have an accessibility issue?

We believe that accessibility is a right, not a privilege. At Patchwork Hub we’re a small disabled-led team. We’re constantly working to make accessibility improvements to our website. Feedback from the community is really important for this. We also work hard behind-the-scenes with employers. We educate employers on possible accessibility barriers, and help them to hire inclusively. If you have any accessibility issues applying through employers’ own website, please report this to us. You can report directly on a job posting. Or, you can submit more detailed feedback through our contact form.

We are a very small team working hard for our community to connect them with opportunities. We can support you through Patchworktogether. Patchworktogether is our one-stop shop for support and opportunities. It is written by and for our community, to help talented Patchworkers find work and employers that work for them.
