Location: Cirencester/Hybrid

This person will assist with the production and maintenance of datasets and reconciliations to support and enable process in Finance, by monitoring and improving the quality of financial data across SJP business systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in the setup/operation of processes to manage financial data including a  SQL database.
  • Build data loading processes to import data from 3rd party sources in a variety of formats.
  • Monitoring of financial data controls and investigation into variances.
  • Supporting the production of financial data inputs to regulatory submissions required by the FCA and other regulators/tax authorities.
  • Provide operational support for business processes/teams that use financial data.
  • Help support the streamlining of data processes
  • Query data from a range of sources/systems and produce meaningful analysis/MI.

 Who we’re looking for:

  • A passion for data, analytics and its business potential.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and database management principles.
  • Strong computing skills, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages eg VBA, R, Python) and software solutions (Snowflake, PowerBI, Microsoft Flow, Aperture) advantageous.
  • Knowledge/experience in ETL tools (Matillion) advantageous.
  • Understand the charging and fee structure of the SJP business model.
  • Able to analyse large datasets effectively and translate complex results to a range of audiences.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Approaches work positively with a can-do attitude in order to produce regular output with attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator  able to grasp complex investment specific concepts and translate into commentary that can be understood by non-technical colleagues/Stakeholders.
  • Builds trust through efficient and reliable contact with others.
  • Team player, who takes pride in both their own personal as well as the SJP Brand, always treating others with respect and dignity.
