Job description

As part of the regulator for Equality and Human Rights, you will work to ensure robust and accurate research and analysis underpins the Commissions work and provide intellectually rigorous advice to internal colleagues and external partners. 

You will work closely with the other teams across the Commission including policy, compliance and legal. You may occasionally be required to represent the Commission externally.

Our recent research includes our state of the nation reports the Equality and Human Right Monitor 2023, Is Scotland Fairer? and Is Wales Fairer?.  

You will:

  • Contribute to the design of robust and effective research projects to develop the Commissions evidence base.
  • Contribute to the delivery of research and analysis to support Commission strategic objectives.
  • Provide research support for other members of the Evidence team.
  • Undertake literature searches and reviews.
  • Provide analytical and methodological advice and guidance to colleagues across the Commissions functions.
  • Oversee small research projects or tasks.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external partners to disseminate the findings from the Commissions research.
