Location: Cirencester/Hybrid (2 days p/wk in Cirencester office)

The main purpose of the role is to help develop and manage the activities and initiatives within the Responsible Business (RB) portfolio. This involves organising and coordinating activities within the RB plan, promoting initiatives to key partners and monitoring the progress of the plan against metrics and targets.

You’ll provide support to colleagues in SJP UK and Asia, to deliver the responsible business framework and support SJP in our ambition to be a leading responsible business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll provide expert knowledge, guidance and support to collaborators across the business on all aspects of RB, including but not limited to; Financial Wellbeing, Investing Responsibly, Climate Change and Community Impact.
  • Support the delivery of the strategy for RB, to leverage the commercial opportunities of RB and mitigate the risks.
  • Responsibility for specific areas and project delivery of SJPs RB framework and strategies including Climate Change, Financial Education and Community Impact.
  • Support the RB Corporate Consultant with specific areas of focus within the RB portfolio.
  • Develop, in collaboration colleagues, resource for all material topics relating to SJPs RB framework including; Investing Responsibly, Responsible Relationships, Responsible Procurement, Inclusion & Diversity, Human Rights, Policy Influence, Client Satisfaction and retention, Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Data Privacy.
  • Work closely with the RB team to support the embedding of the RB framework and philosophy within SJP, with a focus on subject matter expertise in I&D, Climate Change, Community Impact and Financial Education.
  • Support the RB Corporate Consultant, to deliver the strategic goals and critical metrics across all material topics to support our ambition to be a leading responsible business and to feed into the RB dashboard.

Who we’re looking for:

  • We’re seeking someone with broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles relating to RB, Environmental, Corporate and Social Governance (ESG), Sustainability, I&D, Community Impact.
  • Experience of developing resources such as PowerPoint presentations and toolkits.
  • Good understanding of the commercial business case for RB.
  • Basic understanding of the ESG frameworks and benchmarks used to determine and assess progress against responsible business goals and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with a good ability to talk confidently and competently about RB with partners across the SJP community
  • Adept at building strong long-term relationships based upon authenticity and trust.
  • Ability to filter, prioritise and analyse potentially complex and dynamic material from a number of different sources.
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving with the ability to engage with others and seek alternative perspectives.
