The role:

To deliver the St. James’s Place Investment Proposition to the Field Management Team (including the Academy and Acquisitions Team) and into the Partnership either, face to face or digitally. Responsible for ensuring Partners understand and utilise the investment proposition and supporting systems and tools, to acquire and successfully retain business, to maintain credibility in front of clients and to become more self-sufficient.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with the Head of Investment Consultancy to design and implement delivery of the investment proposition, alongside the wider proposition, to the FMT and into the Partnership
  • Requirement to have and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the investment market and an understanding of how to apply solutions when appropriate; considered a ‘go to’ person for investment/market related matters
  • Provide face to face or digital support for FMT, Partner and client meetings, group training and development sessions, Location meetings and client events
  • Support the communication and promotion of investment content and tools into the Partnership to achieve excellent client outcomes and to support Partners become more self-sufficient
  • Build and nurture relationships across the Investment Division, FMT and the Partnership to ensure Locations are appropriately supported to reach their targets
  • Responsible for recording activity data and where required support delivery across other support functions within the Investment Division eg. mezzanine service
  • Support the delivery of Divisional and Group projects, initiatives and campaigns where required
  • Act as a mentor for more junior members of the Consultancy Team and role model the divisional values of teamwork, energy and openness and those of the wider Group’s culture framework

What we are looking for:

  • Specialist knowledge across all investment products and services, and a working knowledge of the retirement and estate planning solutions. There is a requirement to be an advocate of holistic and goals based financial planning
  • Ideally hold Chartered Financial Planner status or an equivalent QCA level 6 qualification or relevant industry experience
  • Understand personal Knowledge and Skills gaps and not be afraid to ask for support and development when appropriate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
