Job Description

Do you enjoy writing creative content? Do you have a passion for disability issues and perspectives? Can you write engaging content for social media?

If so, you may be the perfect person for Transreport’s Social Media and Communications Executive role. We are seeking a dynamic and creative person who identifies as being disabled or as having a long-term chronic illness/impairment. At Transreport we are an accessibility focused organisation who value lived experiences. We are an equal opportunities employer and believe that the insights and perspectives that lived experiences bring enrich our company culture and spark innovation.

The successful candidate will manage our online presence, cultivate positive engagement with the disabled community and end-users of our flagship product ‘Passenger Assistance’ across various platforms, and establish our brand as a leader in accessibility tech solution to both our B2C and B2B audiences.

As a social media and communications expert, you will devise and execute a multi-channel social media and communications strategy that builds our profile as a global accessibility technology expert to our clients and the wider disabled community.

This role will also manage media relations, working with our PR agency to share our story through press features be it in print or online. You will keep a pulse on press coverage, forge meaningful relationships with media outlets and journalists, provide support during media events, and act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries on behalf of our brand.

This is a fully remote position; we value both flexible and inclusive working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and create engaging content for our interactive online community and building a space where their voices are heard and valued.
  •  Prompt and thoughtful responses to comments and queries on our social media platforms. Ensure that all interactions reflect our brand's values and commitment to accessibility and inclusivity and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Regular monitoring and analysis of social media trends and adjusting our strategy accordingly.
  • Tracking and reporting of social media metrics, including user engagement, conversion rates, and the effectiveness of campaigns. Provide insights and recommendations for future strategies to optimise reach, engagement, and overall performance.
  • Manage relationships with our PR agency and act as the primary point of contact for external communications. Ensure the agency's work aligns with our company's vision and mission. This includes overseeing the creation and dissemination of press releases, articles, and other publicity materials.
  • Position our company as the go-to accessibility travel tech experts for our B2B clients. This includes creating and implementing B2B communication strategies and working closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales objectives.
  •  Support internal marketing campaigns, launches, and promotional activities with content from external bloggers.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Experience of writing creatively
  • Knowledge of disability issues and a range of perspectives/models including the Social Model of Disability and different cultural perspectives
  • Lived experience of disability/chronic illness
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
  •  Ability to engage a diverse audience.
  • Familiarity of web traffic analytics and social media metrics.
  •  Team player attitude

What’s in it for you:

  • Fully remote work arrangement to provide flexibility
  • Upskilling and training opportunities so you’re staying up to date and explore new skills
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and teamwork
  • Unique policies that value diversity and inclusion, including volunteering policy so you can pursue external interests
  • Company Pension Scheme matching to help you save for retirement
  • Private medical insurance after probationary period
  • Tech & Cycle Scheme
  • Free Flu jab for you and your family members
  • 20 days paid holidays plus bank holidays and flexible working hours to promote work-life balance
