Can I use Patchwork Hub?
Yes! While we focus on disability inclusion and accessibility, Patchwork Hub is a platform for anybody to use.
We strongly believe that disability inclusive workplaces are vital for disabled people and neurodivergent people, but ultimately help everyone.
Whether it's carers, parents or simply anyone navigating the complexities of life, we all benefit from the lessons and practices that disability inclusion has to offer.
Why should I use Patchwork Hub?
First of all, we have some fantastic opportunities for our job seekers. The companies that post job opportunities on Patchwork Hub are signalling that they want to create a more inclusive and accessible world of work.
However, Patchwork Hub is more than just a jobs board. Alongside connecting you to fantastic work opportunities, we are building out our wider range of resources and support.
And at the same time, we're a verified social enterprise and disability-owned business. By using us, you are helping to support us in achieving our social mission: decent work for all who can, and closing the disability employment gap.
How much does it cost?
Patchwork Hub is free for job seekers (Patchworkers). You can even browse the majority of our job vacancies without signing up for an account.
However, sign up today in just a few clicks to make sure you're the first to know as we build out our wider offering to job seekers.
What if I can’t find a job that will fit me?
We are always adding new jobs to the platform and looking to expand the range of opportunities available.
However, we know that you won't always find the right job for you right away. Follow us on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or X) to get regular updates on the opportunities we have available.
I have a disability, do I need to disclose this?
You do not need to disclose your disability or health condition.
As a disabled-led social enterprise, we know how difficult the decision around disclosing your disability or health condition can be. It is a core part of Patchwork Hub's mission to create a future of work that improves this.
You might choose to disclose your disability within a recruitment process as part of requesting adjustments. This article on reasonable adjustments in recruitment by Scope provides more information and advice.
If you have any concerns around requesting adjustments for jobs on our jobs board you can contact us. We are a small but dedicated team here to support you.
What if I am having problems creating or using my account?
We're so sorry that you're experiencing problems and are on hand to fix them!
You can contact us here if you are experiencing issues and our small, disabled-led team will get back to you as soon as we can.
For now, the vast majority of our job vacancies can be accessed without a Patchwork Hub account. However, do sign up today to be the first to hear as we build out our offering for job seekers.
What if I have an accessibility issue?
We believe that accessibility is a right, not a privilege. At Patchwork Hub, we’re constantly working to make accessibility improvements to our website. For more information, see our Accessibility Statement.
We also work hard behind-the-scenes with employers. We educate them on the possible accessibility barriers in their job posts, and help them to make changes. If you have any accessibility issues applying through employers’ own websites, please do let us know.
We are really grateful for any feedback our users can provide. You can report directly on a job posting. Or, you can submit more detailed feedback through our feedback form.
I love what you're doing, how can I help?
First of all, thank you. We're so grateful for the support of our community. Beyond using our platform, there are a couple of other ways you can help to support us.
1. Spread the word. Tell your friends about us and help us connect our opportunities with people who could benefit from them!
2. Follow us on social media. You can find us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X (Twitter).
3. Support our GoFundMe. If you want to support our social impact efforts specifically, you can donate to our GoFundMe.
4. Lift up other disabled voices. Whether it's in work or wider life, amplify other disabled and marginalised voices and keep pushing for a more equitable and inclusive world.
