Completing your profile for applying for jobs

You are not required to have a completed candidate profile to apply for jobs through Patchwork Hub.

However, completed profiles lead to higher success rates. Employers will learn more about you through a completed profile. This is useful for them when shortlisting applicants.

Having a completed profile allows you to better connect with employers. You can use it to show them your values as well as how you can be an asset to their company.

A detailed profile should feature your skills and experience. You can also upload qualifications and accomplishments.

Your profile is a great way to share more about yourself and what you have to offer outside of a formal CV. It’s a chance for you to explain any employment gaps, and to show off what makes you great.

We recommend that you complete some parts of the profile beyond the essential sections. For example, tell employers about yourself in the ‘About Me’ section. Use the ‘Professional Tagline’ feature to quickly show who you are and what kind of work you’re looking for. Select a ‘Category’ and ‘Sub Category’ of the kind of work you do. You can also share your ‘Expected Salary’, as well as Website and Social Media pages with employers.
