The Role

This role aligns against the Business Analyst rolefrom the Government Digital and Data Framework

You will play an integral role in delivering high quality, user focused solutions and have the opportunity to work across a range of different services, progress your career and make a difference. 

A business analyst works within a multi-disciplinary product or service team, either independently or contributing to large scale transformations. At this level, you will: 

  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Have a good understanding of your work area
  • Contribute to the business analysis community by sharing best practice and mentoring others

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake analysis to understand how a business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology
  • Identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective design, development and business change
  • Ensure new products and services meet business and user needs, and are aligned with organisational goals
  • Understand any business and policy constraints that need to be considered, and assess the implications
  • Collaborate on prioritisation to agree minimum viable product and sprint features
  • Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, analyse the effects of change and define success measures
  • Take ownership for improving your own knowledge of business analysis and agile principles, methods and tools and play an active role within the BA community in sharing knowledge and supporting other members

You can analyse business goals, objectives, functions and processes, using relevant information and data to support the definition of requirements.
