1. Leadership & Management · Coordinate the team in order to deliver DIO & Industry Partners Outputs. · Demonstrate a personal commitment to the DIO Guiding Principles. · Monitor compliance with standing orders and relevant legislation's. · Promote strong working relationships both within the regional team and other teams across the wider DIO and MOD. |
2. Safety, Health & Environmental Management (SHEM) Focal Point · Co-ordinate Regional Health, Safety as follows: o Reviewing & Drafting HoE O&A Statement o Co-ordinate Regional H&S Administration including letters of appointment and risk assessment records/registers. o Co-ordinating the 6 monthly HS&EP Meeting o Liaison with HoE, Training Support Officers (TSOs) and Regional Area Manager (RAM) being a focal point for all matters Health Safety & Environmental Protection, where necessary seeking advice from OS&Trg SMEs and DIO Tech Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) Health & Safety Advisor. o Regional focal point for OS&Trg, UK DTE, Defence Regulators and Inspectors.
· Co-ordinate Environmental Management System (EMS) as follows: o Ensure that the DTE East EMS is delivered and reviewed in accordance with the EMS Manual. o Liaison with HoE, TSOs and being a focal point for all matters EMS, where necessary seeking advice from OS&Trg SMEs and DIO Tech Services Environmental Team. Add anything and amend as you see fit. |
3. Logistic Support · Deliver Regional logistic support including: o Provide local SME advice on latest logistic policy and requirements. o Supervise the management of the material account, in accordance with current regulations legislative requirements and HQ instructions. o Conduct Assurance Checks of local DTE Account AinUs and Issued Property items. |
4. White Fleet Transport Manager · Overall responsible for small Motor Transport fleet and driver administration: o Driver management /records. |
5. Fuels · OC Fuels & Dangerous Substance & Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) Regional POC. · Coordination of Inspections/actions/meetings and follow up action following inspection. · Operating Authority and Fuel & Light Manager. |
6. Manage Documentation · Record and upload all compliance and assurance documentation to SharePoint. · Inform staff across the region on any amendments. Maintain · AinU. · Safety Management Plans. · SME to HoE for AoR Risk. |
7. Other Tasks · As directed by Regional Commander and in support of the region. |

This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
