Job Description

We’re recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer – Voice/Video here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Network, Voice and Video Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to Design, build, and run user-centric, data driven modern Voice/Video platforms that enable the Ministry of Justice to deliver services across the UK.
  • Act as the technical Voice SME providing advice, knowledge sharing, and technical assistance to other sections of the MOJ's digital estates/Participate in 3rd line support.
  • Using scripting or tools, to automate current manual processes minimising human effort.
  • Support initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
  • Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
  • Present recommendations for resolving ticket requests and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of the process, policies and risk controls.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues.
  • Work with end-users on the setup and configuration of auto-attendants, call centre scripts, and call handling routines.
  • Troubleshoot telephony related problem areas and issues as needed, to resolve operational issues and restore/optimize services.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience in telephony/Voice/Video, in terms of their infrastructure and their deployment. This may include mobile device management of mobile phones (i.e Endpoint Manager aka Intune).
  • Prior experience in implementing Microsoft Teams Phone and/or working knowledge of Microsoft Teams conference room platforms (MTR) and Teams EV (Enterprise Voice).
  • Support infrastructure solutions and services with Voice/Video Platforms in terms of incidents, events, and changes.
  • Knowledge of strategic tools (e.g. M365, ServiceNow, Intune/endpoint manager, Poly lens, Teams management) and their relevance to Voice services.
  • Ability to develop relationships with MoJ Business Units and technology Teams. Support for business demand and application of technology solutions to meet user need and Ongoing professional development.

Desirable

  • Teams Voice Engineer/ ITIL4 certification or Knowledge of Public Sector Standards and practices (NCSC etc.).
