We're seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to join our small, friendly team providing support to specialist services working with victims and survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Our Membership Officer plays an important role in ensuring effective communication for and between Member Agencies and supporting our Senior Management Team in their work with Member Agencies. An important element of the role is collaborating with the staff team to respond to survivor and general enquiries received through our info@ email and website.
The Survivors Trust is a national membership organisation for specialist voluntary sector rape and sexual abuse support services in the UK and Ireland. We have 120+ Member Agencies who are all individual charities providing counselling, support and advocacy services for all victims/survivors.
Main duties:
Managing new member applications, including arranging initial interviews for the Operational Support Manager
Arranging and participating in Regional Members' Meetings, Specialist Forums and sub-committees, including note-taking where reuired
Maintaining and updating the confidential membership database
Assisting Member Agencies with our National Service Standards
Website updates, general content maintenance and forum moderation
Preparing membership surveys and reports as agreed with the Senior Management Team
Compiling updtes for Member Agencies as agreed
Signposting survivors via social media, telephone, emails and web
Liaising with outside agencies as required, responding to telephone, email and web enquiries
Event organisation and administrative support
Assisting with preparing and delivering presentations and displays to outside agancies
