The Kickstart Futures service has been established to provide support to Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers and young people who have been trafficked, aged 18-25. We also support care leavers who are not from a forced migration background. The service launched in June 2020, initially supporting young people living in 1 semi-independent property in Sutton. We are currently providing support in 6 semi-independent properties in Sutton and Croydon, as well as within different community settings. We expect this service to continue to grow, and to provide support across an increasing number of properties.
Objectives of Service:
The Kickstart Futures service is responsible for ensuring positive outcomes are achieved for young adults through the delivery of 1:1 keywork support and group work. The focus of the work is on developing independence skills, building relationships, establishing social lives, reducing isolation, and engaging in positive activities.
The office base for the Supported Accommodation service is in Crystal Place. However, the service is community based travelling to where the young people live and supporting them in the community, so you would be expected to travel to different locations as part of the support offered to young people and to hosts.
