MoJ Property provides specialist services including facilities management, health and safety, fire safety and security, technical design expertise, and sustainability.  We also have business management teams who support the entire Directorate and each of our partners is supported by account management teams.  We are responsible for a great deal - our portfolio consists of properties valued at £8.5bn for the MoJ alone.  We are part of the Government Property Profession (GPP) and through active membership and engagement we will work with the Office of Government Property to develop the maturity of the profession and also encourage our people to join the GPP. Team Overview

There is a Grade 7 Home Office Strategic Account Manager who will lead on establishing strong links with senior stakeholders in The Home Office and within the 4 main functional areas; Property, Facilities Management, Project Delivery and Performance/Accounts in order to carry out the role effectively.
This post works closely with the Grade 7, supporting them in their role, which is to work with the wide range of senior stakeholders within HO, MOJ and the GPA to develop and deliver all large-scale office accommodation projects across the HO estate to a high standard.
In so doing, they will act as an important interface between the Shared Estate Service, particularly senior stakeholders of Customers, and will champion the Estate vision.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but not limited) to the following: 

•    Support both Property Management and the Cluster’s functional areas, their client's business operations, Ministerial imperatives and wider GPU/GPA policy.
•    Support the Grade 7 with their work with the customer(s) to understand and develop their requirements and changing business needs. 
•    Provide and discuss Performance Management information relevant to the customer’s business area, acting as an escalation point for any issues back to the centre, measuring and reporting performance against the MoU.
•    Supporting the Director and Grade 7 on High Level Customer and Project Board Meetings with key documentation and reports. 
•    Lead on project documentation and compliance with MOJ Estates processes and procedures.
•    Support stakeholder engagement together with the ability to represent the project team in a professional and consistently competent manner. 
•    Provide a quality service, ensuring projects and programmes are delivered using best practice project management techniques.
•    Work closely with all relevant stakeholders and delivery partners including Home Office colleagues, external consultants, IT and security. 
•    Application of, and commitment to using a personal skill set that incorporates the corporate services principles and improves the effectiveness and delivery of a quality estate service.
•    Demonstrate commitment to the organisation’s values and behaviours, equal opportunities and diversity, service regulatory frameworks and requirements, responsibilities under Health and Safety, risk management and security, and protection of information 

Skills and Experience

Essential

•    Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
•    The ability to overcome challenges by problem-solving, taking a positive approach and finding alternative ways to achieve solutions.
•    Detail focussed, handling complex datasets with accuracy and recording and reporting concisely
•    Some experience of project delivery and facilities management.
•    Strong knowledge of the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams.
•    Skilled in collaborating and partnering, seeking constructive outcomes and improve liaison.

Highly Desirable

•    Membership of the Government Property Profession is desirable
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for outcomes

Government Property Profession (GPP) Technical Skills 

The GPP Framework is aimed at staff working in property or property-related roles and consider property to be their career anchor profession. This usually encompasses posts where professional qualifications and experience are directly relevant to the work being undertaken. However, it is also applicable to those who are currently not qualified property practitioners but wish to make this their profession of choice. Those with a property background at any level are encouraged to register with the GPP, which exists to support property practitioners at all levels. This role falls under Property Portfolio Management, Foundation Practitioner level and some or all of the following Technical Skills may be tested during the selection process:
