Work setting
Working within our Internal Audit team, the Senior Internal Audit Manager will play a critical role in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the organisation's arrangements for risk management, internal control and governance. You will be joining a small but highly skilled and experienced team of 10 people who are committed to making positive change in how Homes England manages risk and ultimately achieves its objectives.
The team is dedicated to delivering first-class customer service, taking an innovative and creative approach to addressing issues. We work collaboratively and flexibly to ensure that the service provided to the Accounting Officer of Homes England is efficient, effective and adds real value to the organisation.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future risk and control environment of a growing national organisation with a strong social purpose.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first-class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be comfortable balancing multiple priorities and continually looking for opportunities to improve and innovate.
You'll be confident addressing complex risk and control issues across a multifaceted organisation, helping to ensure that risk is effectively managed. Experience of using the K10 Vision software package would be advantageous.
Delivering on a mission as ambitious as ours isn't always easy. You'll be resilient and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, bringing a strong understanding of the commercial and operational context in which Internal Audit operates. You'll enjoy working in an innovative and collaborative way, with the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced Internal Audit professional and leader, you'll understand how to build effective relationships and work inclusively with others while maintaining the independence and objectivity that are fundamental to the Internal Audit profession.
