Our commercial team has built strong relationships with suppliers and our project management team is embedded in our corporate change programme, transforming the older legacy systems that have underpinned the organisation for a long time.
Withing HSE’s Technology Division, the Enterprise Architecture team is responsible the delivering our Enterprise Architecture (including Business, Data, Applications and Technology domains) services to HSE. This includes defining and executing technology strategy and roadmaps and directing and assuring the design of all IT Solutions and Services within HSE.
This Solution Architect role is to lead on aspects of the Applications Architecture domain, and direct and govern the design and delivery of new application components, and the end-to-end design that uses those components to deliver new digital IT solutions.
You will have a key role in developing application roadmaps, target architectures, and reusable application components, and determining how we best transition from legacy solutions to modern services that help HSE to meet its business objectives.
This is a very exciting time to join HSE. A series of change programmes are mobilised to deliver new Digital IT solutions that will replace legacy systems and improve processes. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of designing new digital technologies to support how HSE regulates and prevents harm.
Working Pattern
Due to the nature of the work involved this role is only suitable for full time working.
Travel
This post can be based in any of the advertised locations however you will be working as part of a predominantly Bootle based team and therefore you will be required to attend our Bootle HQ for team meetings and workshops on an occasional basis.
Essential Skills & Criteria
At HSE, we are proud to be able to offer our people the opportunity to work in a hybrid way which combines working from home and the office. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement, and your allocated office will be your contractual place of work.
There will be a requirement to travel to the office for various activities, e.g., collaborative working, supporting and training colleagues. If hybrid working is suitable for you and your role, you will be expected to attend the office, or other business-related site, for 60% of your working week. The arrangements will be determined primarily by business need, but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account.
Therefore, we would encourage candidates to consider if the commute from home to the office is a feasible distance to travel before making an application. Please note that if you are successful, hybrid working will be discussed prior to taking up the post.
