How to apply for a job on Patchwork Hub

To apply for jobs on Patchwork Hub, first navigate to our homepage.

There are three main ways you can search for jobs. From our homepage, you’ll find two boxes labelled Job Title or Keywords and Select Location. In the Job Title or Keywords box, you can enter the type of job you’re looking for. To find a job in a specific place, you can enter your desired location in the Select Location box.

If you simply wish to see all the jobs we have on our platform without looking for anything specifically, click the Search button without including anything in the Job Title or Keywords and Select Location boxes.

There is also a Browse Jobs button in the header when viewing the site in full screen on a desktop.

If your search results reveal a job you are interested in, click on the job title to view further details.

If you decide you would like to apply, click Apply Now. However, if you’re not quite ready to get started, you can bookmark the job to come back to by clicking Save this Job on the right, under More Info. Please note that you will need to be a registered Patchworker in order to save jobs. If you have a Patchwork Hub account, you can view your saved jobs in your Candidate Dashboard.

When you have clicked Apply Now, a window will appear asking you to answer a series of questions.

If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need extra support or adjustments in your application, please check the relevant box.

The Message box is your opportunity to tell the employer why you are suitable for this position. See Tips for writing your cover letter for top tips on making your cover letter/message stand out.

Under Resumes, you can either select a CV you have uploaded to your dashboard or add a new one. For details on how to upload a resume to your dashboard, see How do I upload my CV? and for tips on writing a CV/resume, see How to edit your job application.

When you are happy with your application, click Apply Now. The employer will then be notified.

You’re done! You can track the progress of your application in your dashboard by clicking on Applied Jobs. Wishing you the best of luck!

Some jobs may take you to the employer’s website when you click on the first Apply Now. When directly applying for a role on the employer’s website you may need to create an account with the employer.
