This role supports the Head of Consumer Research and will work closely with business areas to gather and analyse consumer data from a range of internal/external sources. This role will play a key part in helping the team achieve the objective of understanding SJP clients, and ensuring the business continues to deliver a first class service. Information generated will be used by key team members in their decision making, development and continuous improvement plans. Key skills/experience required are previous consumer research experience and strong data analysis capabilities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse consumer data and research output with other data sources to develop a complete picture of SJP clients, highlighting key themes and business risks.
  • Identify key insights that can be drawn from the data and support the Head of Consumer Research to determine the best communication method for the results.
  • Continue to build data bank with findings from research projects, working with colleagues to develop useful insight for distribution across SJP business areas.
  • Develop reports and play back insights to key stakeholders and governance groups across the business, including the Content Community.
  • Identify and raise risks presented in research data to the Head of Consumer Research.
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement and support the Head of Consumer Research to improve the effectiveness of the consumer research function.
  • Work with internal teams to develop tools supporting the collation and analysis of consumer research data.
  • Maintain the integrity of research data, through development of central tracking and storage tools.
  • Ensure Consumer Duty requirements for Consumer Understanding outcome are met by monitoring the KRIs and carrying out any root cause analysis to explain any changes and highlight trends.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A successful track record in consumer research and expertise in statistical data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of research methodology.
  • Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills, such as project management preferred.
  • Good understanding of the SJP business model and Partnership beneficial.
  • Background knowledge of SJP investment and advice proposition or wider FS industry beneficial.
  • A general understanding of the regulatory environment SJP operates in is required, in particular Consumer Duty and the obligations to deliver good client outcomes under FCA Principle 12.
  • Able to interpret multiple sets of complex data and turn into actionable insight.
  • Strategic thinker – able to manage/prioritize complex projects from beginning to end.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills imperative.
