We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Specialist to join the St James's Place Business Intelligence team. The Business Intelligence team exists to equip our internal customers with the tools and business intelligence required to support the SJP Partner Community. You will be part of a small but influential team equipping the SJP Leadership team with the data and insights required to drive business growth.

The role holder will be required to lead in the application of SJP data quality and governance standards to ensure accuracy and resilience, and to support in the development of a robust data pipeline, and consolidation and automation of key business intelligence to customers in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the development of a robust data pipeline using repeatable methods for consumption and modelling by team, avoiding the need for dependencies and complex lineage
  • Champion and uphold high documentation standards required to ensure resilience within a national data team in pursuit of creating certainty of outcome for customers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and understand data requirements for delivery against team development priorities
  • Act as an SME In the development of key assets for customers using Power BI and other visualisation tools
  • Ensure solutions are delivered within time, cost and scopeSpecial Requirements
  • Understanding of database principles, conducting ETL, and capturing data lineageStrong technical skills evidenced by use of SQL, Python, Tableau Prep, and Power BI
  • Understanding of basic statistical analysis methods such as Linear Regression
  • Have a strong understanding of the tools used by management teams e.g. CRM tools / SalesforceAbility to translate business questions into intelligence requirementsTranslating complex data models into concrete examples and stories to help customers digest insight
